AbitibiBowater is the largest producer of newsprint in the world, with annual capacity estimated at 5.9 million metric tons. We supply leading publishers in more than 80 countries with top-quality newsprint – including varieties made of up to 100% recycled fiber. In addition to newspapers, our newsprint is an important component of a wide range of other applications including advertising inserts, flyers, brochures, circulars, telephone and other directories, and commercial guides. One-third of our total newsprint production is sold to markets outside North America.
